This role is for a Sterile Processing Technician at Ascension St Elizabeth in Appleton, WI. The department is Sterile Processing, and the schedule is Evenings, Full-time, from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with rotating Weekend and Holiday call. Requirements

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the InternationalAssociation of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) Preferred.
Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Boardfor Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Preferred.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Inspect and assemble surgical instruments and sets to ensure quality, completeness, and patient safety.
Maintain sterilization equipment and monitor containers to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
Decontaminate soiled instruments and equipment following established safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
Organize and correct instrument sets using count sheets and tracking systems to ensure readiness for procedures.
Audit peer quality assurance programs to uphold high standards of care and operational excellence.
