About The Position
Baptist Health is recognized as a top place to work in health care and is the leading provider in Northeast Florida. As a Sterile Processing Technician at Baptist South, you will be responsible for understanding sterilization principles, properly wrapping instruments and linen, selecting correct sterilization supplies, prioritizing duties, and demonstrating knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes. You will also be tasked with decontaminating surgical instrumentation and re-assembling them into trays.
Requirements
- 1-2 years Instrument Experience
- 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience
- Linen Processing Experience
- Knowledge of regulatory protocols.
- High School Diploma
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Required OR Certification Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Required
Responsibilities
- Understand principles of sterilization.
- Wrap instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization.
- Able to prioritize duties.
- Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform.
- Able to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays.
