About The Position
This position is located at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. Full time nights: 10pm - 6:30am, Mon-Fri, rotating weekends once fully trained. Sign on Bonus for experienced techs! Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, our Sterile Processing Technicians perform the daily cleaning, inspection and sterilization of our surgical instruments in support of the operating room and outpatient practices.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required within first year of employment.
- attention to detail.
- ability to follow dept processes and procedures in alignment with regulatory standards and guidelines.
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment built on a foundation of teamwork.
Nice To Haves
- related experience 1-2 years preferred
Responsibilities
- Processes specialty and general instruments.
- Resets instrument sets without error.
- Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure.
- Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels.
- Prepares and assembles surgical tray and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.
- Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor.
