Sterile Processing Technician
About The Position
Tampa Bay Joint and Spine Surgery Center is hiring a Part Time Sterile Processing Technician. The center was formed by local surgeons to provide easily accessible outpatient care in Clearwater and surrounding communities. The goal is to offer a comfortable environment focused on patient safety, supported by modern equipment and experienced staff, to achieve successful surgical outcomes. Patients can recover in the comfort of their homes. The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for maintaining and caring for all surgical instruments and preparing supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience
- Experience with all types of sterilizers
- Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
