About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring the sterility of medical instruments and equipment. The technician will perform a variety of tasks related to the cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and supplies. This role is crucial for maintaining patient safety and supporting surgical procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Education or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Current Central Service Tech Certification (International Association of Health Care Central Service Materials Management – IAHCCSMM or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution – CBSPD).

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment.
  • Inspect instruments for damage or contamination.
  • Assemble and package surgical instrument sets.
  • Distribute sterile supplies to various departments.
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
