About The Position
UVA Temps is recruiting for organized, detail oriented, and professional persons to fill Temporary Sterile Processing Technician roles within the Medical Center. Two shifts available Monday--Friday, 40 hours/week. No weekend or holidays involved. 7am--3:30pm, 3pm--11:30pm.
Requirements
- High School diploma
- None (Experience)
- None (Licensure)
Responsibilities
- Ordering, receiving, conducting cycle counts, pulling cases for the Operating Room
- Stocking supplies, instruments and pans, restocking clean cart supplies, expediting supplies to the OR and stocking OMNICELL cabinets with room stock
- Prepare and assemble surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing (such as sterilization)
- Clean and decontaminate reusable equipment, instruments, and supplies, manually and mechanically (Hand Washing, Washer/Sterilizer, Ultrasonic Cleaner, Scope Washer, Cart Washer)
- Gather, assemble, and distribute surgical supplies, instruments, and medical equipment upon request or through case cart requisitions
