Requirements
- High School graduate or GED required
- Must be able to communicate and understand the English language both verbal and written
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Sterile Processing is preferred
- A minimum of one (1) year of Sterile Processing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Ensures proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation, equipment, and sterilization processes.
- Demonstrates good knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic techniques.
- Must have knowledge of equipment, instruments, procedures and supplies used in the operating room.
- Must be able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact and endurance.
- Provide on-going and continual communication with Operating Room staff, including communicating special equipment needs as they arise.
- Monitor the daily schedule for changes in instrumentation.
