Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) Preferred.
• Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Preferred.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assemble surgical instruments and sets to ensure quality, completeness, and patient safety.
• Maintain sterilization equipment and monitor containers to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
• Decontaminate soiled instruments and equipment following established safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
• Organize and correct instrument sets using count sheets and tracking systems to ensure readiness for procedures.
• Audit peer quality assurance programs to uphold high standards of care and operational excellence.
