About The Position
Are you a detail-loving, behind-the-scenes hero who takes pride in keeping surgical teams running like clockwork? Do you know your way around shiny surgical tools and high-powered sterilizers? Then we want YOU on our team! Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Technician
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One of the following:
- Central Service or Instrument Tech certification/program
- Surgical Tech program graduate
- 5+ years of hands-on instrument tech experience in the Operating Room.
- Proficiency with sterilizer equipment and processes.
- Comfortable with computers and data input.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Friendly, helpful, and good interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of SPD experience.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning, decontaminating, and sterilizing surgical instruments.
- Preparing and packing surgical case carts.
- Receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment.
- Data entry and inventory control.
- Assisting in any area of SPD as needed.
