About The Position

Ascension Via Christi, St Francis is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for their Sterile Processing department. This is a full-time position with a rotating shift. Associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through an academic partnership with Wichita State University. Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) Preferred.
  • Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Validate surgical readiness by meticulously inspecting and assembling instrument sets, ensuring every tool is functional and high-quality before it enters the OR.
  • Master complex sterilization technology to decontaminate and process equipment, strictly following safety protocols to eliminate the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
  • Safeguard the surgical workflow by precisely managing inventory and case carts, ensuring our surgeons always have the exact tools they need, exactly when they need them.
  • Uphold a culture of excellence through collaborative quality audits, providing peer feedback that maintains our department's gold standard of care.
