About The Position

Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician. The Work: Responsible for the processing, sterilization, and documentation related to sterility of instruments used in the surgery department and on-site/off-site clinics in accordance with AORN and AAMI standards. Decontaminates and assembles instrument sets and surgery trays using count sheets. Verifies proper function and integrity of instruments. Labels instruments correctly and returns them to their proper location. Communicates effectively and positively with team members and surgery staff. Moves with a sense of urgency when needed. Efficient in the quality execution of instrumentation that is directly related to patient safety and department efficiencies. Familiar with AAMI Joint Commission and APIC standards related to infection control. Requirements

1 year Applicable Experience
Cert Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Diploma

Responsibilities

Processing, sterilization, and documentation related to sterility of instruments used in the surgery department and on-site/off-site clinics in accordance with AORN and AAMI standards.
