We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our Outpatient Surgery Center team in Granger, Indiana. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of sterile processing principles and practices.
- Experience working in a surgical or operating room environment.
Nice To Haves
- Sterile Processing Certification (CRCST or equivalent).
- One year of sterile processing experience in a surgery center, ambulatory surgery center, or hospital setting.
- Relevant internship or externship experience in a surgical OR setting.
Responsibilities
- Operate sterilization equipment and related machinery accurately and safely.
- Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and supplies according to manufacturer IFU, current standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Select appropriate cleaning agents and instrument lubricants.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and integrity.
- Assemble instrument trays accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Support operating room readiness through proper instrument preparation and availability.
