About The Position
The Sterile Processing Technician 1 PRN Premium is responsible for decontaminating, assembling, and inspecting equipment and instruments. This role accurately operates sterilizers, performs biological and integrator testing, and maintains record-keeping systems under direct supervision. The technician also rotates and restocks sterile supplies in accordance with infection control standards to ensure a safe and reliable atmosphere for patient care.
Requirements
- Certification via the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution or the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management in one of the following areas: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Tech (CSPDT), Flexible Endoscope Reprocessors (CFER), Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist (CSIS), Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER), Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS)
