About The Position

In the role of a Sterile Processing Technician, you will ensure the safety and readiness of medical instruments and equipment through meticulous decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization processes. Your daily responsibilities include performing routine inventory checks, restocking supplies, and ensuring effective stock rotation. Collaboration is key as you will work closely with surgical services and other hospital departments to maintain a seamless supply chain of sterilized instruments. You'll utilize specialized tracking software to manage instrumentation needs and anticipate requirements for surgical cases. Expect to face challenges such as adhering to strict infection prevention protocols and adjusting to varying daily workloads while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
