The team is committed to prompt and efficient service, delivering equipment quickly to minimize disruption. Rigorous procedures and quality assurance measures guarantee that all medical instruments are processed with utmost precision and quality before use, ensuring patients receive the highest level of care in a safe and healthy environment. This role is responsible for the decontamination, preparation, and sterilization of supplies, instruments, and equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Follows duty roster to fulfill workstation assignment.
- Decontaminates, prepares, and sterilizes equipment and supplies per Elliot Hospital and infection control rules.
- Runs steam, sterrad sterilizer, washer decontaminators, cart washer, ultrasonics, and dryer.
- Reports broken equipment and supplies to shift leader and manager immediately for follow-up.
- Labels and assembles healthcare instrument trays.
- Maintains steam, sterrad, and biological monitoring records.
- Answers phone calls.
- Creates linen packs, inspects, delints, and folds as needed.
