About The Position

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for preparing and assembling medical and surgical supplies, instrumentation, and equipment, maintaining the sterile processing areas, and receiving and distributing surgical supplies and equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.
  • Certified Sterile Processing Technician through CBSPD or IAHCSMM required in an Ambulatory Surgery Center. Preferred in a Hospital setting.
  • Certified through the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support required.
  • Knowledge of infection control principles
  • Good communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous sterile processing experience preferred.
  • Certified Sterile Processing Technician through CBSPD or IAHCSMM preferred in a Hospital setting.
