About The Position

This role is responsible for validating surgical readiness by inspecting and assembling instrument sets, ensuring every tool is functional and high-quality before it enters the OR. The technician will master complex sterilization technology to decontaminate and process equipment, strictly following safety protocols to eliminate the risk of healthcare-associated infections. Additionally, the role involves safeguarding the surgical workflow by precisely managing inventory and case carts, ensuring surgeons have the necessary tools when needed. Upholding a culture of excellence through collaborative quality audits and providing peer feedback is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) Preferred.
Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Preferred.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
