Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
CRCST or CBSPD certification
Minimum 3 years of Sterile Processing experience
An Associate's Degree is required for Supervisor, Manager, Director and Consultant Roles
Minimum 6 years of Sterile Processing experience, including leadership responsibilities
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality standards

Nice To Haves

CHL or CIS certification

Responsibilities

Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and procedural trays in accordance with established standards
Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and washer-disinfectors, to ensure proper processing
Adhere to AAMI, AORN, and OSHA standards to maintain infection prevention, safety, and regulatory compliance
Maintain accurate documentation, tracking records, and inventory to support efficient department operations
Collaborate effectively with surgical, clinical, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and workflow efficiency
Overseeing daily departmental operations and workflow coordination
Coaching, mentoring, and supporting team members to promote growth and accountability
Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and service excellence
