Sterile Processing Technician II
About The Position
WakeMed is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician II to help ensure surgical instruments and equipment are cleaned, assembled, sterilized, and ready to support patient care. The role involves decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing instruments and equipment; operating and monitoring sterilization and decontamination equipment; and ensuring instrument quality, safety, and readiness for patient care. Candidates should have the required certification and take pride in supporting patient care. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of sterile processing experience preferred.
- One of the following credentials is required: Certified Registered Central Service Technician, Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician, or Certified Surgical Technologist.
- Detail-oriented and focused on quality and safety.
- Committed to supporting exceptional patient care.
