About The Position

Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization, and regulatory requirements. This role does not involve direct patient care. The technician will process specialty and general instruments, reset instrument sets without error, decontaminate instruments and equipment according to procedure, maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels, and prepare and assemble surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing. The technician will also communicate instrument repair needs to their supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Knowledge of case cart assembly.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory standards of materials management.
  • Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
