About The Position

The sterile processing tech is responsible for ensuring that all surgical instrumentation is properly decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked in an accurate and timely manner throughout the hospital. The sterile processing tech works independently with little supervision. Serves as a resource to Sterile Processing customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Past central sterile experience preferred.
• HSPA/IAHCSMM certification preferred; will be required within 18 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all surgical instrumentation is properly decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed, and tracked in an accurate and timely manner throughout the hospital.
• Works independently with little supervision.
• Serves as a resource to Sterile Processing customers.
