About The Position

Grand Rapids Surgical Suites has an immediate need for a full time Sterile Processing Tech! Grand Rapids Surgical Suites is committed to providing our patients with an exceptional outpatient surgery experience in a comfortable and safe environment. The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Computer skills, required
• 1+ years of experience as Sterile Processing Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians

Nice To Haves

• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.

Responsibilities

• Cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation
• Sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records
