The Sterile Processing Technician decontaminates, cleans and sterilizes equipment, instruments and supplies. Assembles and maintains inventories of surgical and floor trays. Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Experience in sterile processing or as a surgical technician
- Must obtain within 18 months from date of hire or transfer into position either: Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician (CSPDT) from the Certification Board of Sterile Processing & Distribution (CBSPD) or, Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
