About The Position

The Sterile Processing Tech sterilizes instruments according to established protocols, assembles instrument trays accurately, and documents procedures while maintaining thorough records. The role also involves participating in in-service education and training and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The position is full-time on the night shift at AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to accurately identify instruments.
• Ability to operate steam sterilizers.
• Ability to operate a washer disinfector.
• Ability to accurately read and document biological results.
• Ability to properly clean patient care equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Technical or vocational school education.
• One or more years of position-related experience.
• Ability to accurately identify specialty instrumentation.
• Ability to accurately process complex instrumentation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.
