About The Position

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for task-based sterile processing activities, including processing surgical instrumentation and supporting the preparation and delivery of supplies for surgical and interventional procedures. The role collaborates with surgical partners to ensure they receive accurate and complete instrumentation and needed supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a formal Sterile Processing Technician course with field training, or one year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or Operating Technician.
• BLS certification.
• Obtain IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification within eight months.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician with completion of a formal Sterile Processing Technician course.
• Current certification through an internationally recognized organization such as IAHCSMM or the Certification Board for Central Sterile Processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation.
• Use various software applications and assemble and deliver surgical and interventional procedure case carts.
• Pair and replenish materials.
• Collaborate with surgical partners to provide accurate and complete surgical instrumentation and needed supplies.
• Perform related duties as required.
