About The Position
Seeking Sterile Processing Tech! This is a part-time position (24 hours per week) with weekend shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on Saturdays and Sundays. The role is located in the Sterile Processing Department at Baptist Health Floyd, serving the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area. This position is responsible for cleaning, preparing, and sterilizing reusable patient care supplies. Additionally, the tech will dispense reusable and disposable patient care supplies, maintain sterilizer logs, perform daily testing of sterilizer equipment, and report any equipment breakdowns.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- One-year sterile processing experience or one-year surgical scrub experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Cleans, prepares, and sterilizes patient care reusable supplies.
- Dispenses reusable and disposable patient care supplies.
- Maintains sterilizer logs.
- Performs daily testing of sterilizer equipment.
- Reports equipment breakdowns.
