About The Position

The Sterile Processing Technician helps provide safe, high-quality surgical care by ensuring instruments are cleaned, sterilized, organized, and ready for use. The role supports patient safety and efficient surgeries through careful attention to sterilization processes, instrument preparation, and coordination with clinical staff.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Obtain CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) certification within two years of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and supplies according to safety standards.
• Monitor sterilization cycles, document results, and promptly resolve issues.
• Prepare and organize instrument trays and surgical rooms according to the daily schedule and procedural needs.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Work with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support efficient surgeries.
