About The Position

This role is responsible for decontaminating instruments and hospital equipment. The technician will clean, assemble, package, and sterilize instrumentation and supplies for age-appropriate patient care. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the receiving of daily departmental supplies, with attention to inventory control as directed by the Coordinator/Director. The technician will perform other duties as assigned by the Sterile Processing Director/Coordinator.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• No previous experience required in sterile processing.
• Will train in basic job proficiencies.
• Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Sterile Processing Technician.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
