About The Position
Sterile Processing Tech (PRN) Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033. Work hours: PRN; 8:00am-10:30pm, rotating weekends are required. Department highlights: Very diverse, Fast -paced, high- volume.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
- Sterile Processing certification preferred
- CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician within 2 years required Or
- CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution within 2 years required Or
- CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician within 2 years required
Nice To Haves
- Sterile Processing certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label.
- Demonstrates proper assembly technique for instrument trays.
- Demonstrates wrapping/containing of instruments/tray.
- Performs scanning of instrument trays to track location using the instrument tracking system.
- Demonstrates decontamination process according to policy and procedure. Cleaning of instruments manually Using automated cleaners
