Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
• HSD/ GED required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills required.
• Complete understanding and demonstrated proficiency of all area work tasks.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills and interpersonal relation skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Push/pull 50lb rare, lift 50lb rare, rep movement/handwork, standing continuously, frequent rotation, able to respond to pages, phones and customers, receiving stock, assembly of parts, cleaning, testing, sterilizers, disinfectors.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in word processing, spread sheet, and computer data entry skills is desired.
• Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) within 18 months of hire.
• New Union Hires will have 18 months to achieve CRCST certification.
• Mayo Clinic will reimburse testing fees.
• Mayo Clinic will provide you with on the job training and after completing 400 hours of hands on experience you will be eligible to take the CRCST certification exam.
• Payrate will increase after becoming certified.
• Individuals hired to this position may be required to complete up to 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position is not eligible for F-1 OPT STEM extension.

Responsibilities

• Assists the supervisor in planning and monitoring daily workflow.
• Provides direction for staff to accomplish efficient flow of work.
• Assists with orientation and training of new employees.
• Maintains expertise in all aspects of area activities and performs technical duties according to written policies and procedures.
• Monitors QA/QC activities, the physical environment, and participates in continuous improvement.
• Completes other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
