Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Sterile Processing Tech Lead at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you will play a critical role by ensuring the highest standards of sterile processing for surgical instruments and medical devices. You will oversee decontamination, assembly, preparation, and packaging for all sterilization and high-level disinfection methods. This leadership position involves maintaining stringent quality control records, managing biological monitoring systems, and acting as a relief lead in the Supervisor's absence, providing direction to team members and working as a vital liaison between CSSD, ORs, and nursing units, ensuring all instrumentation and implant needs are met. Every day you will meticulously decontaminate, assemble, and prepare surgical instruments, power equipment, and other medical devices according to manufacturer recommendations and infection control policies. You will coordinate the sterilizing schedule to meet the demanding instrumentation needs of all ORs and clinics, ensuring timely delivery. Your daily tasks will also include troubleshooting minor sterilizer issues, analyzing mechanical printouts to verify sterilization parameters, utilizing an instrument tracking system, and managing implant inventory, including ordering and restocking, all while adhering to the highest standards of sterile processing regulations. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional ability to follow instructions, analyze data, coordinate tasks, and manage workload efficiently. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of sterilizing policies and regulations. Your ethical approach, professionalism, and ability to troubleshoot and prioritize in a fast-paced environment will be key to success in this essential Sterile Processing leadership role. Develops and implements new instrument sets Gives direction to staff on prioritizing workload Orders and Restocks implant trays Communicates with vendors to resolve issues relating to loaner and consigned implant trays Adds, deletes, and revises information in instrument tracking system and communicates changes to staff Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days.
