About The Position

The Sterile Processing Tech Lead will provide excellent service to the patients of the Central Sterile Processing and Surgery Departments, the physicians, fellow employees and hospital staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 3 years surgical instrument experience
• One of the following certifications: CRCST, CSPDS, CSPDT or CSPDT-CBSPD

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a surgical instrument technician program

Responsibilities

• Ensures staff follows all infection control policies.
• Decontaminates surgical instruments, power equipment and other medical devices.
• Knowledge and use of sterilizers - ultrasonic, Washers, Cart Washer, and high level disinfection.
• Coordinates sterilizing schedule to meet the instrumentation needs of all ORs and clinics.
• Ability to sort, identify and process instrumentation on a priority basis.
• Works as relief lead in Supervisor's absence.
