While patients may never see your work, every surgery and procedure depends on clean, sterile instruments being ready when needed. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll help ensure caregivers have the tools they need to deliver exceptional care—all while working alongside a supportive team and enjoying incredible views of the Mississippi River. We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician with or without certification. We are only considering applications with experience to qualify for the Tech II role. (Minimum of 1 year working in a Sterile Processing Department).
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year working in a Sterile Processing Department
- High School Diploma or GED graduate or equivalent required
- The ability to understand detailed technical instruction for surgical instrumentation and equipment
Nice To Haves
- Experience in healthcare preferred
- With or without certification
Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Prepare instrument trays for surgeries and procedures
- Operate sterilization and instrument tracking systems
- Maintain quality, safety, and infection prevention standards
- Support caregivers throughout the health system by ensuring critical equipment is available when needed
