About The Position
FlexStaff is looking for a Sterile Processing Supervisor for a permanent, full-time position at our client's facility in Bethpage, Long Island. The role involves supervising and coordinating a team of 15 in the sterilization department. The shift is from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with availability for some holidays and rotating weekends required.
Requirements
- An associate degree
- Current Registered Central Supply Technician Certification (CRCST)
- A minimum of 3 plus years of supervisory experience
Responsibilities
- Lead and train team members to achieve sterile processing goals.
- Schedule and assign tasks to team members and supervise operations in decontamination and sterile work areas.
- Inspect case cart requisitions for accuracy and coordinate the transport of carts to necessary facilities.
- Maintain inventory and stock levels.
- Ensure proper documentation of sterilization activities.
- Monitor the application of proper techniques during instrumentation processing, preparation, and packaging.
