The Site Manager is responsible for sterile processing operations at Geisinger Wyoming Valley and other assigned sites. This role involves assisting in the planning, directing, and coordinating of activities related to the procurement, processing, inventory management, receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies to support effective patient care. The manager will also perform supervisory, administrative, and training functions for sterile processing and inventory staff, utilize online purchasing requests, maintain database files, and produce reports from OR and Supply Chain inventory systems. Additionally, the role manages the coordination of annual year-end inventory processes within the Operating Room, investigates new technology and approaches to meet business objectives, and develops/implements Surgical Suite inventory processes, workflows, and business systems evaluation. The Site Manager will also facilitate the development of policies and procedures for Central Sterile Supply and surgical suite inventory business operations, perform HR functions, provide staff education, develop key performance indicators, and provide benchmarking analysis. The role assists in identifying cost-saving opportunities, analyzes methods for improvement, applies process improvement techniques, and leads team planning for CSS and inventory applications, including change management. The Site Manager also assists the Surgical Suite in reducing overall supply costs through best practices in inventory management, utilization, and product selection, and reviews/analyzes supply expense and utilization trends. Interaction with physicians and clinicians is key to coordinate and integrate cost and quality management programs. Work is typically performed in an office environment.
