About The Position
Under the direct supervision of the Manager and the Coordinator/Charge Nurse, the Central Sterilization Technician is responsible for cleaning, assembling, disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment, supplies and/or instruments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year experience in the OR or Central Sterilization
- Basic understanding of aseptic technique
- Knowledge of sterilization principles, processing techniques and instrument/equipment care
- Ability to operate large equipment
- Ability to disassemble and assemble instruments
- Familiarity with surgical instrumentation
Nice To Haves
- Certification in sterile processing by an accredited organization required by eighteen (18) months
