Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of hands-on experience in sterile processing, with a focus on quality control.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Fully co-operate with and adhere to all company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures, communicating suggestions for improvement to anyone who will listen.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (e.g., CRCST, CIS, or similar) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process medical instruments to meet the highest standards of excellence, with a strong focus on identifying and addressing quality issues at every step.
  • Apply advanced technology and adhere to established protocols to eliminate contaminants and ensure optimal instrument care.
  • Assemble and package instrument sets with precision, verifying compliance with quality standards and readiness for use.
  • Conduct thorough quality control inspections throughout the sterile processing workflow to ensure adherence to all regulatory and internal standards.
  • Identify and resolve quality concerns, working closely with the team to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring instruments are properly accounted for and available as needed.
  • Perform regular quality checks on inventory to ensure all items meet sterilization and readiness criteria.
  • Enforce infection control protocols and utilize personal protective equipment to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of sterilization processes and quality control checks, ensuring documentation aligns with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and quality audits on sterilization equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current with industry standards and share quality control best practices with the team.
