Sterile Processing Aide

About The Position
This position is Monday through Friday with no weekends or call required. Hours: 12:00pm - 8:30pm. Responsible for the delivery of Case Carts and Endoscopes to specific locations within the hospital. Responsible for inventory counts of OR peel pouches. This position does not require patient care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Basic computer skills required
- Understand and follow all I C.A.R.E. Standards.
- Able to work independently.
- Works as a “Team” member.
Nice To Haves
- Central Sterile work experience 0-1 year preferred
- Work experience with Inventory Control Systems 0-1 year preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs safe, effective, and compliant transport of instrumentation and endoscopes throughout the hospital.
- Performs inventory counts of OR peel pouches.
- Assists with unloading washer/disinfectors.
- Assists with departmental cleaning practices.
- Performs as part of an interdepartmental perioperative team, to include effective communication and collaboration with interdepartmental teammates.
