About The Position

This is a unique, hospital-based role where you'll partner with SPD and OR leadership, improve workflows, solve real-time challenges, and help ensure surgical teams have what they need to provide exceptional patient care. The role is for an experienced Sterile Processing Technician who wants to move beyond the daily routine of tray assembly but still make a direct impact on patient care. The specialist will support one dedicated hospital in the Denver metro area. This position offers no travel, no rotating facilities, and no nights, weekends, or holidays, focusing on one hospital and one team to become a trusted clinical resource.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Sterile Processing, Central Service, Surgical Services, or Operating Room experience
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterilization processes, and tray management
  • Experience collaborating with SPD and OR teams
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of your hospital account

Responsibilities

  • Partner with SPD and OR leaders to support daily operations
  • Ensure instrument trays are complete, accurate, and ready for scheduled procedures
  • Audit instrumentation, tray quality, and workflow processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce delays
  • Deliver hands-on education, coaching, and staff in-services
  • Support process improvement and standardization initiatives
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and workflow challenges before they impact patient care
  • Build strong relationships with clinical teams across the hospital
