About The Position
Mad Science is looking for STEM Workshop Instructors to conduct engaging and interactive classroom instruction on various scientific topics. Each session is a high-energy, part entertainment, part education, hands-on class. Mad Science classes follow the school calendar and are presented year-round. This is part-time and rewarding work if it fits with your schedule and lifestyle.
Requirements
- Experience teaching children in a classroom or camp environment
- Friendly, flexible, dynamic and passionate about supporting children’s learning.
- Must be available M-F between 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM.
- Must have reliable transportation that is not public or ride share.
- All employees will be fingerprinted for criminal background checks and TB tested (required).
- Some college
- Have a fun & outgoing personality
Responsibilities
- Facilitating a one-hour in-classroom science enrichment program using a pre-set curriculum.
- Picking up/dropping off and maintaining equipment.
