About The Position

Club SciKidz NOVA offers science and technology summer camps for children ages 4-15 years in Richmond/Henrico and Midlothian. We are currently hiring DIRECTORS for our Midlothian location. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the camp, managing staff, ensuring program implementation, camper supervision and safety, handling camper behaviors, and parent communication. The position requires a commitment to working all 7 weeks of the summer camp season and attending mandatory paid training.

Requirements

• Able to work the weeks of all 7 weeks: June 8-12, June 15-19, June 22-26, July 6-10, July 13-17, July 20-24; July 27-31
• Work Monday-Friday, Morning Shift: 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday OR Afternoon Shift: 10:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday.
• Attend mandatory, paid training; date TBA
• Passionate about working with children and teaching & providing a positive camp experience

Nice To Haves

• Certified teacher with at least 2 years teaching experience; other comparable experience considered
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with parents, as well as with handling parent concerns
• Have strong classroom management skills and experience working with children of varying behaviors, abilities and needs
• Possess leadership skills, potential interest in pursuing administration roles
• Strong communication skills & detail oriented
• Love working with kids
