About The Position

This is a specialized part-time consulting opportunity for students, graduates, and professionals with strong backgrounds in physics, chemistry, mathematics, or biology. The role supports analytical, modeling, and problem-solving work across a range of STEM topics. Selected contributors will apply quantitative reasoning, scientific knowledge, and structured thinking to open-ended and interdisciplinary tasks, while communicating solutions clearly and precisely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, or another closely related STEM discipline, or currently pursuing such a degree.
  • At least 1 year of relevant academic, research, internship, or industry experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Solid foundation in one or more core STEM disciplines.
  • Comfortable with quantitative reasoning, modeling, or data analysis where relevant.
  • Ability to work effectively on open-ended and interdisciplinary problems.
  • Strong written communication and ability to explain technical reasoning clearly.
  • Able to work independently and maintain high standards of accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze technical and scientific problems across physics, chemistry, mathematics, or biology.
  • Apply structured reasoning to reach accurate and well-supported conclusions.
  • Break complex problems into clear and manageable steps.
  • Evaluate alternative approaches where multiple solution paths are possible.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and logical consistency.
  • Apply quantitative methods appropriate to the relevant STEM domain.
  • Work with mathematical models, calculations, and data-driven reasoning where required.
  • Interpret numerical results and assess whether they are scientifically reasonable.
  • Identify assumptions, constraints, and relevant variables within analytical tasks.
  • Support modeling and analytical workflows across interdisciplinary problems.
  • Apply academic or professional knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology.
  • Interpret technical concepts and scientific information accurately.
  • Connect theoretical knowledge with practical problem-solving.
  • Work across unfamiliar or interdisciplinary topics when required.
  • Use appropriate scientific terminology and conventions.
  • Explain solutions in clear, concise, and logically organized language.
  • Document reasoning and calculations in a way that can be independently reviewed.
  • Communicate complex scientific ideas accurately without unnecessary ambiguity.
  • Produce high-quality written outputs suitable for analytical and research workflows.
  • Adapt explanations to the level of complexity required by each task.
  • Work independently on structured and open-ended assignments.
  • Manage research and problem-solving tasks with limited supervision.
  • Check outputs for accuracy, completeness, and internal consistency.
  • Apply sound judgment when information is incomplete or multiple interpretations are possible.
  • Deliver reliable work within project guidelines and deadlines.
