About The Position

Requirements

  • Hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline.
  • Previous child-centred experience in a UK educational setting is highly valued.
  • Passionate, knowledgeable, and proactive STEM Mentor with strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make STEM accessible and exciting for every pupil.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not offered.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering targeted one-to-one and small-group STEM support sessions across KS3 and KS4
  • Supporting pupils with Science and Mathematics intervention, closing gaps and building subject confidence
  • Contributing to the school's wider STEM enrichment programme including clubs, competitions, and university visits
  • Tracking pupil progress and feeding back regularly to class teachers and Heads of Department
  • Building enthusiastic, motivating relationships with pupils to inspire curiosity and ambition in STEM subjects
