After School STEM Instructor
About The Position
Mad Science is a global brand that has been igniting imaginative learning for over 35 years through various programs like summer camps, birthday parties, in-class workshops, after-school programs, and special events for children aged 3-12. We are seeking part-time instructors to join our team and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. This role involves facilitating a one-hour after-school science enrichment program using a pre-set curriculum. Each session is a high-energy, hands-on class that combines entertainment with education, meeting for one hour each week for 8-10 weeks. Occasional daytime programming may be available. Mad Science classes align with the school calendar and operate year-round, offering rewarding part-time work for those whose schedules and lifestyles permit.
Requirements
- Must be available at least two weekdays after 2 p.m.
- Must have reliable transportation that is not public or ride share.
- All employees will be fingerprinted for criminal background checks.
- Some college education.
- Have a fun & outgoing personality.
Nice To Haves
- Some experience working with groups of elementary-age (4-12) children.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating a one-hour after-school science enrichment program using a pre-set curriculum.
