About The Position
Freudigman & Billings is seeking a full-time STEM instructor to help students prepare for AP level coursework in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. The role involves building student confidence, developing problem-solving skills, and fostering a deeper understanding of math and science subjects through engaging and effective support. Requirements
- B.A./B.S. in Mathematics, Science, or a related field.
- Intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to connect with students.
- Drive to grow.
- Willingness to be trained in instructional methods.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching or tutoring experience.
- Interest in learning to teach the ACT and SAT.
- Interest in working on Fridays and Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Help students build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and gain a deeper understanding of math and science subjects.
- Provide thoughtful, rigorous support in a way that’s both engaging and effective.
- Train students for AP level coursework in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
- Potentially teach ACT and SAT preparation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and execute individualized learning plans.
- Work within a shared educational philosophy.
- Potentially gain exposure to other disciplines like Educational Therapy and Standardized Test Prep through a rotational training program.
- Contribute to the company's educational system and teamwork.
- Focus on delivering high-quality instruction.
- Potentially take on responsibilities beyond instructional hours based on skills, interests, and departmental needs.
