About The Position

STEM CELL PROJECT MANAGER AND SCIENTIST, Picower Institute for Learning & Memory – Tsai Lab , to manage lab operations and personnel, maintain the integrity and efficiency of our stem cell facility, develop and optimize new models and oversee a large-scale iPSC-based drug screening and discovery initiative. This position will assist with creation, maintenance, and experimentation using iPSCs and function as a group leader to coordinate and oversee team members (post-docs, graduate students and technicians) as they carry out large scale pre-clinical drug screening and de-risking projects as well as managing external collaborations.

Requirements

• PhD in neuroscience, bioengineering, or related field
• A minimum of three years of post-doctoral training in stem cell biology, neuroscience, bioengineering, or related field
• A minimum of five years of experience working in a large research laboratory
• Expertise with stem cell technology including iPSC-based drug screening
• Demonstrated management skills including time management and project planning
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to promote collaboration and cooperation among team members
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze data and present it in a format suitable for publication
• Extensive experience in performing stem cell, molecular, cell culture, and/or biochemical experiments

Nice To Haves

• Experience with research/grant proposal development, writing and editing
