About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector to support structural steel fabrication and welding operations. This role ensures all work meets applicable codes, specifications, and quality standards.
Requirements
- QA/QC inspection experience in structural steel or fabrication
- Strong knowledge of weld inspection and fabrication processes
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
Nice To Haves
- NDT Level II (RT, MT, PT, UT)
- Heat Treatment / PMI experience
- OSHA training, TWIC, MSHA (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of structural steel and welds
- Verify compliance with drawings, specs, and applicable codes (ASME/AWS)
- Conduct or support NDT inspections (RT, MT, PT, UT)
- Document inspection results and prepare QA/QC reports
- Communicate quality issues with shop leads and management
- Promote safety and quality best practices
