About The Position

Gil Haugan Construction is seeking a Steel and Precast Project Manager / Estimator to manage steel and precast scope within GHC's construction project framework. This role oversees steel and precast projects from preconstruction through procurement, fabrication, installation, and closeout--ensuring alignment with overall project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. The Steel and Precast Project Manager / Estimator works closely with GHC Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimating, and field teams to deliver projects that reflect our core values: Genuine, Hardworking, and Committed.

Requirements

Experience in steel, precast, or related construction production.
Construction project management or trade scope management experience.
Ability to read architectural, structural, and shop drawings and specifications.
Estimating experience, including takeoffs, budgeting, and cost tracking.
Strong organizational, budgeting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Review drawings and specifications to define steel and precast scope and feasibility.
Prepare estimates, proposals, and scope clarifications.
Coordinate takeoffs, materials, and procurement planning.
Manage steel and precast scope from award through installation and closeout.
Develop and maintain schedules aligned with the master project schedule.
Oversee shop drawings, submittments, approvals, and revisions.
Coordinate with fabricators, suppliers, and field teams to confirm lead times.
Track job costs, labor, materials, and change orders.
Serve as the primary contact for steel and precast-related communication.
Provide schedule and budget updates to internal teams and clients.
Ensure quality control standards are met through fabrication and installation.
Oversee punch list completion and closeout documentation.
