About The Position
We are hiring for multiple positions in a high‑production steel foundry. Work is physically demanding and requires strength, stamina, and the ability to work in hot environments. ABOUT THE FOUNDRY Manufactures highly engineered, high‑quality steel castings Capable of pouring 100+ grades of steel Casting size range: 1–3,500 lbs Qualified to Mil‑A 11356 Armor up to 2.25” Materials produced include: Carbon steel, low alloy steel, Austenitic stainless steel, Martensitic stainless steel, Duplex stainless steel, Ferritic stainless steel, Hastaloys, Monel, Inconel, and Armor Processes include: • Loop molding • Large line molding • Sand reclamation
Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions
- 20/20 vision (corrective lenses allowed)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work with heavy equipment for full shift (e.g., holding a hand grinder)
- Ability to meet production timelines with minimal supervision
- Steel‑toe work boots
- Long pants
- Dependability: Arrive on time and maintain regular attendance
- Job Performance: Complete duties quickly, efficiently, and safely
- Conduct: Follow all worksite rules; violations may result in disciplinary action up to termination
Responsibilities
- Assist in the casting and cleaning of steel and iron castings
- Perform tasks as assigned to support production
- Follow safety procedures and maintain work area cleanliness
- Perform visual inspection of castings
- Remove excess material using pneumatic abrasive tools
- Grind, smooth, and finish casting surfaces
- Arc‑gouge to remove defects from steel castings
- Weld to fill gouged areas and repair defects
- All welding performed horizontally
