About The Position

We are currently seeking a Steel Fabrication Shop Technician to join our team. This role will check in inventory and pull pieces for jobs. Run equipment such as saws, drills and bevelers. Pressure test finished products, all while keeping records for the quality department. You will need the ability to read technical drawings and understand measurements. Applicants should have some shop experience and good computer skills, although we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic. All applicants must also be able to pass a drug screening.

Requirements

• Fabrication or welding shop experience
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand measurements
• Good computer skills
• Strong work ethic
• Must be able to pass a drug screening

Responsibilities

• Fabricate steel items using various techniques, such as, drilling, grinding, and sawing
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Troubleshoot issues with fabrication or equipment
• Recordkeeping on computer
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines
• Check in inventory and pull pieces for jobs
• Run equipment such as saws, drills and bevelers
• Pressure test finished products
• Keep records for the quality department
